The Chapel of St George: Heathrow’s Mithraic Temple?

by 5ocietyx

The Chapel of St George is located almost within the centre of the Heathrow Airport Hexagon which itself is in the centre of the Heathrow Airport Hexagram.

According to spacevoice.fsnet.co.uk this unusual subterranean cavern is located on the ‘Hidden Unity leyline’ otherwise known as the ‘A30 leyline’

“It (the ley) then goes across Staines Moor to reach Heathrow Airport chapel, a strange underground concrete cave marked on the surface by a cairn of stones surmounted by a cross. This chapel seemed to have powerful head-hum. It is, of course, multi-denominational with a multi-faith prayer room.”

When the 5ociety paid it a visit today for data gathering purposes we picked up the atmosphere usually associated with places of worship but recorded no ‘head-hum’, a term dowsers use to describe sensations in the head when present on a ley. This is probably explained by our currently less sensitive apparatus, namely our brains, compared to experienced dowsers.

We did however record the magnetic field strength within the temple and found that it fluctuated between 80-90 uT (microteslas). This compared to a fluctuation of 180-190 uT in the subterranean tunnels of London Underground’s Heathrow loop and a steady 200 uT when above ground.

Ostensibly it is a Ecumenical Christian chapel yet a multi-faith, interdenominational prayer room too, the Chapel of St George is essentially a Mithraic temple as denotes its subterranean cavern-like structure.

When One become two

by 5ocietyx

Always two there is…

This report from 2006 suggested humanity would eventually divide into two species; one race, tall, athletic and attractive, and the other squat, ‘dim-witted’ and ugly.

‘Evolutionary theorist Oliver Curry of the London School of Economics expects a genetic upper class and a dim-witted underclass to emerge.

The human race would peak in the year 3000, he said – before a decline due to dependence on technology.

People would become choosier about their sexual partners, causing humanity to divide into sub-species, he added.’

Is this a far cry (albeit in reverse) from evolutionary theorist Stan Gooch’s ideas about our origins? In fact, the descriptions used in the BBC piece could quite easily be of Cro-Magnon and Neanderthal man: The tall, athletic, ‘intelligent’ and attractive (to whom?) Homo Sapiens, and the short, dark, cave-dwelling Neanderthals, ancient foes still alive in the breast of one species, constantly at war with itself, both mentally and socially.

Gooch maintained that the final solution to the internal tug-o-war created by our hybridization would be genetic manipulation of the species. Through technology we would discover a way to eradicate our dual nature,  to divide Dr Jeckle from Mr Hyde once and for all. In some ways it would be the end of the humanity we know, but perhaps in other ways, it would be a fresh start. Without the constant battle between Ego and Self perhaps we could end the thousands of years of senseless warfare and enforced partition that have blighted the books of history since our time begun.

The Mystery of Shell Grotto

by 5ocietyx

Shell Grotto

Shell Grotto

“In 1835, young Joshua Newlove fell down a hole and inadvertently discovered Margate’s Shell Grotto. Seventy feet of underground tunnels lead to a chamber decorated with arcane symbols made entirely from sea shells. And the purpose of a cave studded with over four million shells mosaicked into phalluses, stars and flowers? Nobody really knows.” from UK Curiosity Blog

Or so the legend goes…
