Magnetic Rope observed for the first time between Saturn and the Sun

by totalgooched

‘A twisted magnetic field structure, previously never seen before at Saturn, has now been detected for the first time, using instrumentation built at UCL and Imperial  College.

When the Sun’s magnetic field interacts with the Earth’s magnetic field (the  magnetosphere), a complex process occurs called magnetic reconnection which can twist the field into a helical shape.’

Circles of Light photographs from London

by 5ocietyx

circle-of-light-2013-6
Over the last few weeks the 5ociety has continued to observe ‘circles of light’ manifest themselves onto a fence and the side of a house in west London. We have observed these occurrences regularly for the past 18 months or so.

If anyone is able to ‘shed some light’ on this phenomena or else debunk it as having a mundane explanation please leave a comment below.

The Milton Keynes Midsummer Leyline revisited

by 5ocietyx

Milton Keynes

A discussion in the comments section of the earlier post ‘The Milton Keynes Midsummer Leyline‘ with the author of a new book Mysterious Milton Keynes, James Willis, resulted in, on his suggestion, a reappraisal of the actual date the sun rises in line with Midsummer Boulevard. The assumed date was 24 June which is traditionally known as Midsummer’s Day.

Through the use of Google Earth video tours and SunCalc we deduced that the sun rose along Midsummer Boulevard precisely one month later on 24 July.

We have built a micro-site detailing these observations and will update the site when new information becomes available and once we have conducted a long planned visit to collect data.

Check out the site here.

The transition from analog to digital, the male-female principle and the VAIO logo

by 5ocietyx

Sony-Vaio-Logo

Sony VAIO logo

There are several different ways of looking at VAIO’s holographic cryptographic logo. The V and A and the I and O pairings are both representative of the male-female principle. These are archetypes that symbolise a concept in it’s essential and unchangeable form.

Inverted, AV stands for Audio-Video or Audio-Visual. IO stands for Input-Output.

As mentioned, I O is also binary if you transpose the letter I for the number 1 and the letter O for the number 0.

PS2-logo

PS2 logo

The VAIO logo was an early rendition of the trans-humanist family of font-types and corporate logos including for example PS2 evolving to become thinner, more elongated, minimalist, abstracted and digitized lettering that resemble symbols that computers can inherently understand.

Etymology
Originally an acronym of Video Audio Integrated Operation, this was amended to Visual Audio Intelligent Organizer in 2008 to celebrate the brand’s 10th anniversary. The branding was created by Timothy Healy to distinguish items that integrate consumer audio and video with conventional computing products, such as the Sony VAIO W Series personal computer, which functioned as a regular computer and a miniature entertainment center. The VAIO logo also represents the integration of analog and digital technology with the ‘VA’ representing an analog wave and the ‘IO’ representing a digital binary code. Source

So as well as representing the male-female principle, the Sony VAIO logo also signifies the transition from the analog waveforms of the ‘real world’ to the binary bits of the digital realm.

The brand name Sony incidentally is an amalgam of ‘sonus’, meaning sound and ‘sonny’. Sonny was a popular term of endearment in Japan at the time of the companies founding. There is no Mr Sony or Sony dynasty only Sony Corporation.

The sun is masculine – the Holy Father, the son of God, Jesus, the Light of the World. The moon is feminine and associated with the goddess.

Ken Ward provides a table showing the dualist relationship of the sun and the moon, the male-female principle:

The Swan Arch of Staines decoded?

by 5ocietyx

Staines memorial arch

Staines vesica piscis

A new analysis of the symbolism of the swan arch of Staines suggests its meaning may be related to the Egyptian ‘Primordial Scission’ which tells the story of the first stages of creation in sacred geometry terms.

The sun is the  contents of the invisible egg that is everything and nothing at the same time and is broken by the scission from the crossed blades that form the vesica piscis with their shadow. It is from the vesica piscis that all life comes from.

This is a variation on the Primordial Scission creation story. The event occurs at sunset and facing west whereas the Goddess of the Dawn, Eos, Ostara, Eastre, Easter rises in the East.

In Greek mythology, Astraeus was an astrological deity and the Titan-god of the dusk. He married Eos. Hespara was the Greek goddess  of dusk.

That Easter was originally the festival of the Spring Equinox may explain one of the reasons why eggs are associated with Easter. Because an egg contains a sun, or soul, or sol within it as potential and the Spring Equinox dawn celebrations mark the time of year when days or deus or dios are of equal length as nights. The anticipation of spring and the gradual lengthening of daylight hours is also a part of this astro-theological resurrection ritual.

The Isis, Ostara and 15.15 alpha-numeric geo-temporal transposition cryptogram

by 5ocietyx

Isis 1515

ISIS 1515 cryptogram

Easter is a celebration of the resurrection of Christ who is the son – the light of the world – the sun. In pagan times the goddess Ēostre or Ostara was worshipped during the Spring Equinox. Ostara is another facet of the Lady with 10,000 names – Isis.

The letter I can be transposed to the number 1 and the same with the letter S and number 5 as the 5ociety has already illustrated.  So ISIS becomes 1515 or quarter past three in the afternoon.

Both hands of the clock point due east at this time. The word ‘east’ means ‘shine’ or ‘dawn’ as this is the direction the sun rises each morning.

Ēostre derives from Proto-Germanic *Austrō, ultimately from a PIE root *h₂ewes- (→ *awes-), “to shine”, and therefore closely related to a reconstructed name of *h₂ewsṓs, the dawn goddess, which would account for Greek “Eos”, Roman “Aurora”, and Indian “Ushas”.[1] The modern English term “Easter” is the direct continuation of Old English Ēastre, whose role as a goddess is attested solely by Bede in the 8th century

The Sun, the Chalice, the Blade, and the hidden Vesica Pisces of Staines

Quite by chance, one of our field researchers who had been collecting data from the nearby location of the long lost Negen Stones stumbled across this discovery by being in the right place at the right time.

The setting sun to the west drops itself directly onto the crossed steel ‘swords’ that sort of form a ‘chalice’ in the middle or a swan in flight. The blade is formed by the shadow of the chalice at the bottom of the photo.

The shadow of the sun also completes the vesica pisces of the arch just before sunset before it dips below the horus line.

During a solar eclipse, the sun and the moon momentarily form a vesica pisces as they intersect each other.

There are actually two of these ‘swan arches’, one on either entrance to the Staines Memorial Garden.

The Arc of Triumph in Baghdad, Iraq is actually a pair of arches aligned with each other too.

We recently blogged about the Whale Arch sculpture in Whitby in relation to Jimmy Savile’s wishbone necklace but there is only one of them. The whale rib-bones do not cross at the top unlike the Baghdad and Staines ones.

noon

by 5ocietyx

The word ‘noon’ derives from Old English non “3 o’clock p.m., the ninth hour,” and is what appears to be a holographic cryptogram in that its very meaning is encoded into the word itself by a certain sequence of letters which are also holographic cryptograms. Actually, only two letters are used – n and o but both are repeated twice.

We are speculating that the letter ‘n’ in this instance represents the arching path of the sun from east to west across the sky in a 12 hour period. The daily sky-walk of Solaris. The reason the word ‘noon’ is a palindrome (a word that can be spelt the same backwards or forwards) is because no sooner has the sun set on one side of the globe, represented by the letter ‘o’ (‘the little world’) that it rises on the other hemisphere.

‘no on’ reflects this duality of the hemispheres.

In Hebrew the legendary city of the sun, Heliopolis was called ‘On’.

The letter ‘o’ represents the circumference of the earth as well as the globe as a whole.

Noon is the 25th letter of the Arabic alphabet.

The clock-face tracks the journey of the sun as it walks across the sky. The sun is in its zenith at 12 o’clock when both the little hand and the big hand are pointed directly upwards.

Analemma: the Sky-walk of Solaris

by 5ocietyx

This is what the sun’s annual pilgrimage across the heavens looks like.

In astronomy, an analemma from Greek ἀνάλημμα “pedestal of a sundial”) is a curve representing the changing angular offset of a celestial body (usually the Sun) from its mean position on the celestial sphere as viewed from another celestial body (usually the Earth). The term is used when the observed body appears, as seen from the viewing body, to move in a way that is repeated at regular intervals, such as once a year or once a day. The analemma is then a closed curve, which does not change.

Because of the Earth’s annual revolution around the Sun in an orbit that is elliptical and tilted relative to the plane of the equator, an observer at a fixed point on the Earth sees the Sun appear to move in an analemma around a mean position, taking a year to do so. The mean position appears to revolve around the Earth once every mean solar day, because of the Earth’s rotation. This daily revolution is not considered to be averaged out to get the mean. The mean position of the Sun is therefore at the same place in the sky at the same time every day, but not at other times.

Therefore if the observed position of the Sun in the sky is plotted or photographed at the same time every day, or every few days, for a year, the points trace out the analemma.

Helios was the personification of the Sun in Greek mythology. Helios was imagined as a handsome god crowned with the shining aureole of the Sun, who drove the chariot of the sun across the sky each day to earth circling Oceanus and through the world-ocean returned to the East at night.
