ISS, Antares, Virginia, Virgin, Isis and the wrath of the goddess with a thousand names?

by 5ocietyx

Earlier this week a rocket named ‘Antares’ on its way to ISS exploded upon liftoff above Virginia.

Earlier today the Virgin Galactic SpaceShipTwo exploded above the Mojave desert in California.

In ancient Egypt, Antares represented the scorpion goddess Serket and was the symbol of Isis (the virgin of the world)  in the pyramidal ceremonials.

Wreckage from the Virgin Galactic spacecraft

Are these incidents just random accidents in the conquest of space or is there more than meets the eye? Sabotage? The wrath of the goddess of a thousand names considering how Isis has become associated with the demonic Islamic State of Iraq and Syria?

That this latest crash occurred on Halloween when the veil between world’s is thinner only deepens the mystery.

So who’s to say at this stage but we will be posting updates as and when additional information and synchromystical analysis becomes available.

The Amplituhedron: A Jewel at the Heart of Quantum Physics?

by 5ocietyx

amplutihedron

According to Natalie Wolchover of Quanta Magazine “the amplituhedron is a newly discovered mathematical object resembling a multifaceted jewel in higher dimensions. Encoded in its volume are the most basic features of reality that can be calculated — the probabilities of outcomes of particle interactions.”

She goes on to say it “challenges the notion that space and time are fundamental components of reality.”

Neuromancer, Zion, The Matrix and Google Earth

by 5ocietyx

neuromancer

In his 1984 cyberpunk novel Neuromancer, William Gibson coined the phrase ‘cyberspace’. Gibson is a novelist not a technologist and he says this was an advantage when it came to visualising what cyberspace would be like.

In one passage he states

Program a map to display frequency of data exchange, every thousand megabytes a single pixel on a very large screen. Manhattan and Atlanta burn solid white. Then they start to pulse, the rate of traffic threatening to overload your simulation. Your map is about to go nova. Cool it down. Up your scale. Each pixel a million megabytes. At a hundred million megabytes per second, you begin to make out certain blocks in midtown Manhattan, outlines of hundred-year-old industrial parks ringing the old core of Atlanta. . .

Although technically speaking it’s somewhat inaccurate, he seems to be describing the sensation of using Google Earth and how as you zoom in or fly around the scene fades into view as the screen refreshes.

Neuromancer greatly influenced the The Matrix trilogy providing the framework for the ‘consensual hallucination’ as well as the use of the term ‘Zion’ which is a space station in Gibson’s near future, a future that is already here…just not evenly distributed…yet.

Mercury and the disintegrating star-gate of Feltham

by 5ocietyx

FREDDY_STAR-733712

In 2009 to much fanfare and ceremony a memorial was installed in Feltham shopping centre to Freddie Mercury, a former resident of the nondescript satellite of Heathrow.

It featured a gold star in a black pentagon in a red star in a yellow pentagon in a white circle in a black circle with the inscription ‘FREDDIE MERCURY, MUSICIAN, SINGER & SONGWRITER’ and was decorated with two clef symbols.

We use the past tense because just two years later it had fallen into such a state of disrepair through weathering that Hounslow council decided to rip it up and replace it with a smaller memorial stone across the High Street.

This is all that remains of the Mercury Star-gate of Feltham once the portal had been deactivated and sealed.

It currently remains a mystery as to whether the cosmic gateway was deliberately designed to self-destruct or not.

According to Modern Stargates, Queen were fascinated by the concept of ‘star-gates’ through the band’s lifetime and featured them on album covers, artwork and stage-shows and even memorials.

When the Freddie Mercury statue in Montreux was unveiled in 1995 a ferris wheel was installed behind it. Ferris wheels, as we will be discussing in a future post are also ‘star-gates’ according to Matthew Delooze.

The Tardis

The Doctor’s TARDIS — sometimes called the Ship by the First Doctor, and most often known simply as the TARDIS (Time And Relative Dimension In Space) — was the Doctor’s primary means of transport. It was capable of travelling through space and time. The Doctor voyaged in his vessel from the Big Bang to the end of the universe in the year 100 trillion.

The craft was prone to a number of technical faults, ranging from depleted resources to malfunctioning controls to a simple inability to arrive at the proper time or location.

However, because the TARDIS was a living being, these “faults” may have instead been at least partially attributed to the manifestation of the Ship’s free will; in other words, she could have actively intended to only appear unreliable. Indeed, the TARDIS herself once told the Eleventh Doctor that she deliberately refused to take him where he wanted to go, so as to take him where he needed to go.

According to NASA  ‘Voyager 1 and 2 spacecraft imaged the (hexagon) feature over two decades ago.’

The hexagon is a symbol of Saturn. A cube viewed from a corner angle from above or below forms a hexagon. The black cube is also a symbol of Saturn.

The Square Kilometre Array

by 5ocietyx

Square Kilometre Array

Square Kilometre Array layout

The Square Kilometre Array will be the world’s largest telescope with thousands of dishes in Australia and South Africa connected by fibre optic cables that will require capacity greater than the total internet traffic of the world.

The antennas will be arranged in five spiral arms extending to distances of at least 3 000 km from the centre of the array.

The spiral layout has been chosen as this gives many different distances (baselines) and angles between antennas resulting in very high resolution imaging capability. The perfect layout would be a random arrangement that maximises the number of different baselines and angles between antennas. However the practicalities of construction, as well as linking the antennas together with cables, mean that the spiral configuration is the best trade off between image resolution and cost.

It will be able to survey the sky 10000 times faster than before.

The project is due to commence in 2016 for completion in 2024

Unusual ‘Meteor’ storm hits Britain

by 5ocietyx

‘People from across the UK have reported seeing bright objects in the night sky, thought to be meteors or “space junk”

Some speculate it’s a pop-up meteor shower, some that its a piece of space debris, all of which is apparently charted and monitored by NASA. One observer described it as ‘an unidentified object’, obviously cautious of using the word ‘flying’ in between those two. We wonder, what else could it be moving slowly across the heavens, and are we just being fed whatever excuse is the most probable, rather than the truth?
